Eduscience: Journal of Educational Sciences, published by Yayasan Media Literasi Mazawa Sriwijaya, is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal applies ethical principles to all stages of the publication process, involving authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
The publisher ensures that editorial decisions are made independently and objectively based on the academic quality, originality, relevance, and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts. Advertising, commercial interests, reprints, or other financial considerations shall not influence editorial decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Publisher
Yayasan Media Literasi Mazawa Sriwijaya, as the publisher of Eduscience: Journal of Educational Sciences, is responsible for supporting the integrity, independence, and sustainability of the journal's publication process.
The publisher works collaboratively with the editorial team to ensure that all publication procedures are conducted transparently, fairly, and in accordance with established academic and ethical standards.
The publisher recognizes the journal as part of the scholarly record and is committed to preserving the integrity, accessibility, and reliability of published academic work. The publisher also supports the editors, reviewers, and authors in fulfilling their ethical responsibilities.
The publisher shall cooperate with editors, authors, reviewers, and relevant institutions in addressing allegations of research misconduct, plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, conflicts of interest, and other violations of publication ethics.
Fair Play
Editors shall evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic and intellectual quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution to the field of educational sciences.
Editorial decisions shall not be influenced by the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political or ideological views.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to submitted manuscripts. Information concerning a manuscript may only be disclosed to the author, reviewers, prospective reviewers, editorial advisers, and publisher when necessary for the publication process.
Editors and editorial staff must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author's explicit written permission.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest that could influence the objectivity or integrity of the publication process.
Editors shall not use unpublished information contained in submitted manuscripts for personal research or other purposes without written consent from the author.
The editorial team must take appropriate measures to prevent financial, professional, personal, or institutional relationships from influencing editorial decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Editors of Eduscience: Journal of Educational Sciences are responsible for managing the editorial process and making independent decisions regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of submitted manuscripts.
Editorial decisions must be based on the manuscript's academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and contribution to the development of educational sciences.
Editors may consult with members of the editorial board, reviewers, or other experts when necessary to reach an appropriate editorial decision.
Fair and Objective Peer Review
Editors must ensure that the peer-review process is conducted fairly, objectively, transparently, and within a reasonable period.
Research articles should normally be evaluated by at least two independent and qualified reviewers. Additional reviewers may be invited when necessary, particularly when a manuscript requires specialized expertise.
Editors must select reviewers based on their relevant academic expertise and should avoid reviewers who have potential conflicts of interest with the authors, institutions, or research discussed in the manuscript.
Reviewer Selection

Editors must take reasonable measures to prevent fraudulent or inappropriate peer-review practices.

Transparency of the Editorial Process
Editorial policies should promote transparency, accountability, and honest reporting throughout the publication process.
Editors must ensure that authors and reviewers clearly understand their respective rights, responsibilities, and expectations.
All editorial communication should be conducted through the journal's official submission and communication system whenever possible.
Appeals and Complaints
The editorial team, together with the publisher, shall provide a transparent mechanism for authors to appeal editorial decisions.

Editorial Integrity

Reviewers are expected to conduct their responsibilities objectively, constructively, professionally, and within the agreed timeframe.
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists the editor in determining whether a manuscript is suitable for publication, requires revision, or should be rejected.
Reviewers should provide clear, constructive, and academically justified comments that can help authors improve their manuscripts.
Reviewer Competence and Timeliness
Reviewers who believe that they do not possess sufficient expertise to evaluate the manuscript, or who cannot complete the review within the agreed timeframe, should promptly inform the editor and decline the review invitation.
Reviewers should not accept a review assignment if they have a conflict of interest with the author, institution, research project, or subject matter of the manuscript.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Reviewers must not disclose, distribute, copy, or discuss the manuscript with any other person without prior permission from the editor.
Information obtained during the peer-review process must not be used for personal, professional, or research advantage.
Objectivity and Professional Conduct
Reviews must be conducted objectively and professionally.
Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should focus their comments on the content, methodology, theoretical framework, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and academic contribution of the manuscript.
All criticisms and recommendations should be supported by clear academic arguments.
Identification of Relevant Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors when such references are genuinely important to the manuscript.
Reviewers should inform the editor if they identify substantial similarities, overlap, or potential duplicate publication between the submitted manuscript and previously published work.
Reviewers should not recommend citations solely to increase their own citation counts or those of a particular journal.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest that could affect the objectivity of their evaluation.
A reviewer should decline the assignment when the manuscript involves a competing research interest, close collaboration, personal relationship, institutional relationship, or other circumstances that could compromise impartiality.

Reporting Standards
Authors must present their research accurately and clearly. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or intentional misrepresentation of research data constitutes serious academic misconduct and is unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works.
Any ideas, statements, data, theories, methods, images, tables, or words derived from other sources must be appropriately acknowledged and cited.
Plagiarism in any form, including direct copying, inappropriate paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, and presenting another person's work as one's own, is not acceptable.
Duplicate and Simultaneous Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.
Authors should not publish substantially the same research in multiple journals or other primary publication venues without legitimate academic justification and appropriate disclosure.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Authors must properly acknowledge all sources that have contributed to the development of their research.
Relevant publications that have significantly influenced the research, theoretical framework, methodology, analysis, or interpretation should be appropriately cited.
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, implementation, analysis, or interpretation of the research.
All individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions should be appropriately recognized as authors or contributors according to the nature of their contribution.
Individuals who have not made substantive contributions to the research should not be listed as authors.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission for publication.
Disclosure of Funding and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional interests that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation.
All sources of financial or institutional support for the research should be properly acknowledged in the manuscript.
Ethical Research and Data Integrity
Authors conducting research involving human participants, educational institutions, students, teachers, or other research subjects must ensure that the research complies with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that research data are obtained, managed, analyzed, and reported ethically and accurately.
Corrections and Retractions
If authors discover a significant error, inaccuracy, or omission in their published work, they must promptly notify the editor of Eduscience: Journal of Educational Sciences.
Authors are expected to cooperate with the editor and publisher in issuing an appropriate correction, clarification, or retraction when necessary.
The journal reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action when serious errors or ethical violations are identified after publication.
