Publication Ethics

Iqtishadia: Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Bisnis Syariah, published by Yayasan Media Literasi Mazawa Sriwijaya, is committed to maintaining academic integrity and high standards of publication ethics. These principles apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher throughout the publication process.

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining the integrity, independence, transparency, and sustainability of the journal. Editorial decisions must be based on academic quality and must not be influenced by commercial, financial, personal, or institutional interests. The publisher cooperates with relevant parties in addressing plagiarism, research misconduct, authorship disputes, and other ethical violations.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for managing the editorial process and making fair, objective, and independent decisions based on the originality, quality, relevance, methodology, and academic contribution of manuscripts. Editors must maintain confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, and ensure a fair and appropriate peer-review process.

Editors must not require unnecessary citations to Iqtishadia, their own publications, or other sources for the purpose of manipulating citation metrics.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, constructively, and within the agreed timeframe. Reviewers should assess manuscripts based on their originality, academic quality, methodology, clarity, and contribution.

Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest, maintain confidentiality, and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. They should also notify the editor of suspected plagiarism, substantial similarities, or duplicate publication.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts. Authors must report research honestly, provide appropriate citations, and avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and simultaneous submission to multiple journals.

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions. Authors must disclose relevant funding, conflicts of interest, and sources of support. Research involving human participants or other research subjects must comply with applicable ethical and institutional requirements.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism and similarity screening. Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct are unacceptable and may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action.

Corrections and Retractions

Authors must promptly notify the editor of significant errors discovered in their published work. Iqtishadia may publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.
