LIMAS: Jurnal Literasi Masyarakat, published by Yayasan Media Literasi Mazawa Sriwijaya, is committed to maintaining academic integrity and high standards of publication ethics. Ethical principles apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher throughout the publication process.
Publisher Responsibilities
The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining the integrity, independence, transparency, and sustainability of the journal. Editorial decisions must be based on academic quality and must not be influenced by commercial, financial, personal, or institutional interests. The publisher cooperates with relevant parties in addressing allegations of plagiarism, publication misconduct, authorship disputes, and other ethical violations.
Editor Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for managing the editorial process and making fair, objective, and independent decisions based on the originality, quality, relevance, methodology, and contribution of manuscripts to community service and community development.
Editors must maintain confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, ensure an appropriate peer-review process, and provide a fair mechanism for appeals and complaints.
Editors must not require unnecessary citations to LIMAS: Jurnal Literasi Masyarakat, their own publications, or other sources for the purpose of manipulating citation metrics.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, constructively, and within the agreed timeframe. Reviewers should assess manuscripts based on their academic quality, relevance, methodology, originality, clarity, outcomes, and contribution to community empowerment and development.
Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest, maintain confidentiality, and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. Reviewers should also inform the editor of substantial similarities, plagiarism, potential duplicate publication, or other ethical concerns.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts. Authors must report community service activities honestly and accurately, provide appropriate citations, and avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and simultaneous submission to multiple journals.
Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual or practical contributions to the community service activity and the preparation of the manuscript. Authors must disclose relevant funding, institutional support, and conflicts of interest.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that community service activities are conducted ethically and respectfully toward partners, target communities, institutions, and other participants. Where necessary, appropriate permission or consent must be obtained for the use of personal information, photographs, interviews, documentation, and other materials involving community partners.
Plagiarism and Publication Misconduct
All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism and similarity screening. Plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, manipulation of results, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, and other forms of academic or publication misconduct are unacceptable and may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action.
Corrections and Retractions
